Academy of Ballet offers classes in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Irish. With 3 studio locations in Utah Valley and a professional faculty, students are carefully nurtured as they develop their talents. Lynne Thompson, director and instructor for over 40 years, an author and teacher of the lecture series, "Teaching Ballet to Children;. From the Sleeping Beauty "tiptoe" path to the grand jetes of resident ballet company, Ballet Utah, students are guided through their technique with special care. Opportunities are available to develop artistry & technique through performances & class work. All students are featured in an annual storybook ballet and are taught excerpts from the Nutcracker and other classics. At age 12, they can audition for the performing companies: Ballet Utah I and II, & jazz styled Athena Dance Company. Our performing companies give students the opportunity to present their art to an audience. Both Ballet Utah and Athena Dance Company tour locally and offer multiple performances t
